Electric vehicle (EV) battery pack harnesses

Trackwise long flex is being used for temperature and voltage monitoring circuits for EV battery packs. In place of conventional wire harness, flex offers a lighter solution taking up less space – and potentially for distribution of control electronics onto a ‘smart harness’.
Trackwise is working with leading vehicle OEMs on this exciting development.
Satellite antennas

Most mobile satellite antennas are portable parabolic dishes that are not compatible with the transportation environment.
Trackwise' microstrip patch PCBs, using flat panel phased array technology, are used for low profile and lightweight antennas for Ku Band communication (live satellite TV and data reception) in fast moving vehicles of all sizes.
Anti collision radar

Radar technology is starting to be developed for use in motor vehicles, mainly in the interests of road safety.
Automatic Cruise Control ‘long-range radar’ operating at 77 GHz. This enables a vehicle to maintain a cruising distance from a vehicle in front.
Anti-collision ‘short-range radar’ operating at 24 GHz and 79 GHz. This is being developed as part of a system to warn the driver of a pending collision, enabling avoiding action to be taken.
